The input of David, Bella and Iain
Third day of rain in a desert during the dry, winter season. Well, sprinkling of rain. And it is cold. In the morning you can see your breath. Being here with Iain and Dad is amusing, in the least, especially when they share a bed. Well they don’t really share, they argue over who has more covers. Even in the middle of the night, I’ll wake up to the sound of their arguments. Dad says “Iain I need more covers.. Move over” Iain says “Dad, you have them all, I’m on the edge.”  Every night is the same. Unfortunately, Dad doesn’t like to share.  Last night, I patiently waited for over an hour to use the ereader, because he wanted to finish his book and he had already been reading for awhile. Hopefully we will overcome this and share equally.  We all miss mom and wish she was sharing this experience with us.
A few days ago we went the Mochudi to visit Aunt Binnie’s sister. It was very fun. We didn’t get lost on the way there, which is a surprise.  While we were there we went to church, which was an eye-opening experience.  Molly and I played hopscotch, and watched as Gordon tried it. He got the hang of it rather quickly. Aunt Binnie, Uncle Spen, Dad, Iain, Gordon, Molly and I drove to the museum on the mountain top in Mochudi. The views from the top were breathtaking. And we didn’t even get lost on the way, although we had to ask for directions and the museum was closed, but we took lots of pictures from the top. Iain has already filled a memory stick. Donkeys, goats, dogs  and cows are everywhere, here. They walk along the side of the road, stepping out onto the road in front of cars, whenever it pleases them. Yesterday we drove to the fields, where there is a huge farm, with many cows and piles of corn and sorghum. The road there was interesting. It was like driving on a washing board. The road was so bumpy it felt like you were going to rattle out of the planet. It was fun, especially since everyone was crammed together, and falling into each other J. Today we are going to a game reserve, to see some animals. I can’t wait to see more Africa and all its animals. It is exciting and everyday brings something different and new.
